PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure safety of an operator who performs maintenance of a cabinet.SOLUTION: A library device including a conveying mechanism that conveys a cartridge between cabinets has a shutter mechanism 700 including a shutter 740 that opens/closes an opening of the conveying mechanism, and a lock mechanism 800 that holds (locks) a totally closed state or a totally open state of the shutter 740. In the shutter mechanism 700, a tension coil spring 760 urges the shutter 740 in a closing direction via a lever 780. When a cart stops at a delivery position of the cartridge, the lock mechanism 800 permits slide of the shutter 740 in an opening direction from the totally closed state and can hold the totally open state of the shutter 740. When the cart is not stopped at the delivery position of the cartridge, the lock mechanism 800 releases the holding of the totally open state of the shutter 740 and inhibits slide of the shutter 740 in the opening direction from the totally closed state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
