[Also in Group XXVIII] A liquid filter 10, Fig. 1 comprises at least one sheet of porous material e.g., a felted mixture of thermo-plastic, textile and mineral fibre bonded to a one-piece frame having a flexible peripheral web 16b, Fig. 4, to provide a seal against the wall 18 of a flow passage. As shown the frame 7 is in the shape of a spoked wheel and is made of polyethylene. In a modification the web is slotted at 16g, Fig. 7 (not shown).
