PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoacoustic apparatus capable of acquiring subject information in an imaging area with high resolution.SOLUTION: A photoacoustic apparatus comprises: a light source; a probe having a plurality of transducers for receiving a photoacoustic wave generated by irradiating a subject with light emitted from the light source, and outputting received signals, and a support body having an opening for supporting the plurality of transducers so as to gather directional axes of the plurality of transducers; a moving part for moving the probe two-dimensionally in an in-plane direction of the opening; an area setting part for setting an imaging area; and a processing part for acquiring subject information in the imaging area on the basis of the received signals output from the plurality of transducers. The light source emits light when a position where the directional axes gather is away from the probe more than the center of the imaging area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
