PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To screen long fruit and vegetables without causing damage to them by using a simple constitution.SOLUTION: Fruit and vegetable receiving bodies 3 that are vertically long in the same direction as a direction allowing fruit and vegetables 2 to be placed along a running direction of a conveyance chain 1 are mounted to a support shaft 5, and a plurality of the receiving bodies are aligned and mounted in a chain arrangement direction. The fruit and vegetable receiving bodies 3 are horizontally held by horizontal holding means 6 and standard determination means 7 determines a standard of the fruit and vegetables 2. In a fruit and vegetable discharging zone 8, receiving body tilting means 9 tilts a rear end 4 of the fruit and vegetable receiving bodies 3 downward and the fruit and vegetables 2 thereon are slidden and discharged obliquely backward. The fruit and vegetables 2 are then transferred to a belt conveyor 12 being fruit and vegetable lead-out means 10 and stored up at narrowed intervals on a fruit and vegetable storing belt conveyor 13 in front of the belt conveyor 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
