PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high raw material conversion rate while reducing non-recyclable by-products in converting ethanol into butadiene by one step.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing butadiene, which comprises a step of generating butadiene from ethanol or a mixture of ethanol and acetaldehyde in the presence of a solid catalyst prepared by supporting (A) component: a metal selected from the group consisting of Group 11 and Group 10, (B) component: a metal selected from the group consisting of Group 12 and lanthanoids of Group 3 and (C) component: a metal selected from Group 4 on a carrier, where the content of the (B) component is 3 to 33 pts.mass and the content of the (C) component is 5 to 33 pts.mass based on 1 pt.mass of the (A) component.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
