The purpose of the present invention is to obtain an absorbent article manufacturing method that can reliably and stably perform examination as to whether a second sheet member the texture of which is different from a first sheet member is normally attached to the first sheet member which forms an absorbent article, and that can prevent the manufacture of defective absorbent articles. The present invention comprises the following: an affixing step in which an adhesive is applied between a back-sheet continuous body (10) which is the first sheet member and a target tape (5) which is the second sheet member, and while tension is applied in the length direction of the back-sheet continuous body (10), the target tape (5) is affixed to the back-sheet continuous body (10); and an examination step in which light is transmitted through the back-sheet continuous body (10) to which the target tape (5) has been attached, and the position of the edge portion of the target tape (5) is thereby examined. |
