The subject matter of the invention is substantially the same as that disclosed by Specification 922,169. The claims differ in that the liquid dispersing plate and the inner surface of the vessel are made of materials which are specified in the claims. The dispersing plate may be made of any oxide e.g. aluminium oxide, oxides of copper alloys, admiralty brass, phosphor bronze, aluminium bronze or, silica glass, porcelain or stainless steels or any hydrophilic material. The coalescing member may be made of an aliphatic base polymer e.g. polypropylene.
