PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can maintain durability of a halogen heater heating a heating target body by ensuring a duty ratio when lighting the halogen heater at a certain lower limit or more, and can adjust the temperature of the heating target body within a certain range.SOLUTION: In PWM control of a halogen heater 7, when reducing the temperature of the halogen heater 7 by reducing a duty ratio, if the duty ratio reaches a preset lower limit, fan drive control means 14 drives a fan 16 or increases the volume of airflow, and when the duty ratio is made larger than the preset lower limit, the fan drive control means 14 stops the drive of the fan 16 or reduces the volume of airflow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
