DECOMPOSITION PROMOTOR OF CYANIDE COMPOUND, AND DECOMPOSITION PROMOTION METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the decomposition time when a cyanide compound in the groundwater or soil contaminated therewith is decomposed by activating a decomposition microorganism of the cyanide compound.SOLUTION: A decomposition promotor of the cyanide compound is added to the cyanide compound-containing contaminated groundwater or contaminated soil so that the decomposition microorganism of the cyanide compound is activated to promote the decomposition of the cyanide compound. The decomposition promotor contains salicylic acid and/or salicylate as a main component thereof. The decomposition promotor contains 5-aminosalicylic acid as another main component thereof. It does not matter if the decomposition promotor further contains an easily-decomposable hydrocarbon as a different main component thereof.
