Provided is a method for controlling clutch and an automatic clutch control device having an improved control response when compared to that of conventional devices. The method for controlling clutch has the following characteristics. When it is determined that an amount of piston stroke reached an indicated value, an operation of a clutch actuator (2) stops and at the same time PID control stops together, in addition, initialization of an integral term is performed in the PID control (S106, S108), and then, when it is determined that the amount of the piston stroke has exceeded a set threshold value (S110), or, when it is determined that a set amount of time has elapsed from the time of stopping the PID control (S112), the PID control is configured to be resumed (S114), and after an overshoot or undershoot of the amount of the stroke, a rapid convergence to an indicated value is to be achieved. |
