PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector in a further simplified lock structure.SOLUTION: A protector 5 comprises: a first protector member 1 including a bottom plate part 11 and a pair of sidewall parts 12 each including a slit part 3 that is cut from a front end side edge; and a second protector member 2 including a lid part 21 and a vertical wall part 23 including a protrusion that is formed in the slit part 3 while protruding from a portion formed while drooping from the lid part 21. The slit part 3 includes: a narrow portion 31 formed at a front end side of the sidewall part 12; and a wide portion 32 which is formed continuously to the narrow portion 31 closer to the bottom plate part 11 and has the width dimension larger than that of the narrow portion 31. The protrusion of the vertical wall part 23 has a thickness dimension larger than that of the narrow portion 31 in the slit part 3 and inserted into the wide portion 32 in the slit part 3 of the sidewall part 12.
