PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a liquid storage container that has a sufficient capacity to store waste ink and is capable of storing a sufficient amount of ink used for recording while saving space; a liquid discharge device including the liquid discharge device; and a liquid recovery method.SOLUTION: Ink not for recording is discharged and stored in a part of an ink tank in which unused ink for recording has been stored, so as to be replaced with the unused ink.
