The invention relates to a device (1) which is provided as an accessory capable of being securely inserted onto the body of an electronic apparatus (PC) and over the lens (OB) of a camera built into the apparatus, said device (1) comprising: a frame part (2) provided with an opening/window (20), which defines an opening (AP) that is larger than the dimensions of the lens (OB) of the camera; and an essentially opaque closing means (3), which is mounted on the frame part (2) such as to move between a closed position covering the opening/window (20) and an open position uncovering said opening/window (20) such that the lens of the camera can be covered/uncovered as desired by the user. The closing means (3) can be mounted onto the frame part about a rotary hinge (3) or arranged as a sliding element sliding over a frame part having the shape of a guide section.
