According to the present invention, a shifting control apparatus comprises: a condition checking unit checking whether or not all states of a vehicle satisfy a wide open throttle (WOT) shifting control condition based on at least one between an open degree of a throttle valve, the traveling speed of a vehicle, and a temperature; a shifting speed calculation unit considering a maximum output value of an engine in a current gear stage to calculate the reference speed of the vehicle where a gear is to be shifted when the states of a vehicle satisfy the WOT shifting control condition; and a shifting control unit controlling the vehicle to shift gear when the vehicle speed reaches the reference speed while monitoring the vehicle speed. |
