PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component assembly device which can reduce a burden on a conveying device while securing desired synchronization accuracy to the conveying device for conveying an assembled body.SOLUTION: A component assembly device (10) makes a separation/connection device (40) operate so that a drive carriage part (20) and a component loading carriage part (30) are made in a separated state from a connected state when entering a component assembly work area, and makes an engagement device (50) so that the component loading carriage part (30) is engaged with a conveying device and is transferred by the conveying device. In this state, a traveling speed of the drive carriage part (20) is controlled so as to maintain a relative position detected by a relative position detection device (25) in a predetermined range.
