On the basis of at least a drive current obtained by a current sensor and the rotation angle ωobtained from the position/velocity estimation section 13, the rotor magnetic flux strength of the motor 2 is calculated and control values Vand Vto be used for driving the motor 2 are varied in accordance with the calculated rotor magnetic flux strength.
