PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can effectively eliminate floating, skew or the like of a medium and properly improve malfunction at the time of medium conveying.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a delivery roller 13 to which a long medium 11 is wound in the roll state and which delivers the medium in a prescribed conveying direction; a printing part 15 which performs printing on the medium 11 delivered from the delivery roller 13; a take-up roller 17 which takes up the medium 11 on which printing is performed by the printing part 15 in the roll state; and a tension application member 21 which is brought into contact with the medium 11 to apply tension to the medium 11. The tension application member 21 includes a support part 41 which is provided on the center in the width direction of the medium 11 and an oscillation shaft part 43 which extends in the width direction of the medium 11, is brought into contact with the medium 11, and oscillates in the thickness direction of the medium 11 using the support part 41 as a fulcrum. |
