PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly obtain high glossiness, concerning a glossy ink after fixed on a medium.SOLUTION: A printer 10 printing on a medium 50 by an ink-jet method, is equipped with a glossy ink head which is an ink-jet head for discharging an ink drop of a glossy ink, and a main scanning drive portion 14 making the glossy ink head perform main scanning action. The glossy ink includes a glossy pigment, and a solvent. In the main scanning action, the glossy ink head discharges the ink drop several times while moving in a main scanning direction, thereby forming dots of the ink at plural positions aligning in the main scanning direction on a medium. The amount of the ink drop discharged by the glossy ink head is amount which makes each dot contact with any other dots on the medium, concerning the plurality of dots formed in one main scanning action. |
