Disclosed are a system and method for measuring a broadband multi-antenna radio channel. In the system for measuring a broadband multi-antenna radio channel, signals are transmitted by different transmit antennas through a first changeover switch so that a transmitting end transmits signals in a time-division multiplexing mode, and likewise, signals are received by different receive antennas through a second changeover switch so that a receiving end receives signals in a time-division multiplexing mode; the receiving end demodulates the received signals to obtain channel impulse responses after spectrum spreading, and a background processing device despreads the channel impulse responses after spectrum spreading and removes the responses from the transmitting end and the receiving end to obtain pure channel impulse responses for subsequent computing of radio channel characteristics. The measured channel impulse responses have high accuracy, and the entire measuring system has a simple structure and a relatively low price.
