PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeve for a fluid bearing device capable of reducing a cost for appropriately sealing treatment, the fluid bearing device equipped therewith, a spindle motor, an information record regeneration processing device, and a manufacturing method of a sleeve therefor.

SOLUTION: The sleeve 42 for the fluid bearing device is equipped with an inner layer part 50 and a surface layer part 51. The inner layer part 50 is formed by sintering metal powder for sintering. The surface layer part 51 is formed on the surface of the inner layer part 50, and contains diiron trioxide (Fe2O3). Namely, the surface layer part 51 containing diiron trioxide (Fe2O3) layer 51b is formed on the surface of porous sleeve 42 for the fluid bearing device and sealing treatment is performed.
