摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wavelength available for communication with an optical transceiver of an opposite party at any time in a network using a plurality of wavelengths and in a communication system in which a communicable wavelength differs for each of optical transceiver. <P>SOLUTION: When an MAC address is obtained from an IP address of the optical transceiver of an opposite party by an ARP, its own optical transceiver sends a request frame in a predetermined order concerning each of the transmittable wavelengths, and a wavelength in which a response frame first returns is stored as a transceiver wavelength for use in communication with the optical transceiver of the opposite party. Alternatively, when the MAC address is obtained from the IP address of the optical transceiver of the opposite party by the ARP, its own optical transceiver sends the request frame at a plurality of transmittable wavelengths, and the highest wavelength in a predetermined priority of the wavelengths in which the response frame returns is stored as the transceiver wavelength for use in communication with the optical transceiver of the opposite party. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
