A float for a DME(Dimethyl ether) fuel tank is provided to float in a surface of DME fuel steadily and exactly for a long term by being molded with poly phenylene sulfide resin and comprising a hollow body having a sealed cavity. A float for a DME fuel tank is molded with poly phenylene sulfide resin or synthetic resin consisting of poly phenylene sulfide as a main component and comprises a hollow body(12) surrounding a sealed cavity(18). The specific gravity of the hollow body is 0.5 or less. The pressure resistance strength of the hollow body is 1.8MPa or greater. The hollow body comprises: a cylindrical outer peripheral body portion(13); a central tube portion(15) in which a penetration hole is formed; and a plurality of ribs(21) formed between the central tube portion and the outer peripheral body portion.
