A billing processing method after the termination of a session in the IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) and a system thereof are provided to process the billing for a terminal which does not support the internet protocol multimedia subsystem. A complete message receiving module(110) receives the message-receipt completion message from a non-IMS terminal for the message service processing time. The complete message receiving module determines whether the receipt completion message is received from the non-IMS terminal during the message service processing or not. A session maintenance discrimination module(120), when the complete message is received, determines whether to maintain the session of the outgoing side IMS terminal. A billing processing module(130) performs the accounting of the abnormal state which is not normal accounting caused by the IMS standard.
