PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem wherein an inlet portion to be a press-fit edge of a terminal is formed in a diameter smaller than the terminal around an external edge of a through hole, the inlet portion contacts with the surface of the terminal and a strong friction between the inlet portion and terminal produces when press-fitting the terminal into the through hole, the plated layer of the terminal is shaved by the friction, a piece peeled off or shaved from the layer is deposited on the surface of the printed wiring board, and this short-circuits the circuit. SOLUTION: The printed wiring board includes a board, a conductive portion formed on the board, and a through hole which is made through the board and the conductive portion is exposed on at least a part of an external edge. The through hole is formed in a shape which is chamfered in a circumferential direction, therefore, a piece peeled off or shaved from the plated layer is hardly produced when fitting the terminal, then, the problem wherein short-circuits the circuit composed of the conductive portion is resolved.
