The arrangement has an illumination equipment (26) arranged on a component (18) attached to an inner space (10) of a motor vehicle. The illumination equipment is arranged on a door pillar i.e. A-shaped pillar (16), of the motor vehicle, and is designed as a reading illumination equipment of a corresponding front seat rows. The equipment is arranged on an outer door knob of a door of the motor vehicle, and a illuminant (28) e.g. organic LED, is centrally provided on the outer door knob. Light of the illuminant is guided into an exit area or to an outer knob cavity by a light guide.
