摘要 A chassis automatic centering device for assembling a commercial use vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to control position of a biased vehicle body precisely by operating a servo motor based on signals from a vision sensor and a positioning sensor. A chassis automatic centering device for assembling a commercial use vehicle comprises a horizontal control unit(30) and a vertical control unit(50). The horizontal control unit includes a supporter(33), a servo motor(35), a rack bar(39), a vision sensor(41), a positioning sensor(43), and a controller(45). A loading plate(31) is mounted on the supporter and slides horizontally. The supporter is moved up and down by the horizontal control unit. The servo motor is mounted on the supporter and has a rotary shaft(36) integrated with a pinion gear(37). The rack bar is installed under the loading plate and engages with the pinion gear. The vision sensor, which is installed in the supporter, films a center mark(14) formed at the center of an axle beam(13) and outputs an image signal of the center mark. The positioning sensor, which is mounted on the loading plate opposite to the axle beam, senses the position of the center mark, and outputs the sensed signal. The controller discriminates the position of the center mark based on the signals of the vision sensor and the positioning sensor, determines bias of a vehicle body, and controls operation of the servo motor.
