PURPOSE: A hemicarcerand compound is provided to use tetrathiahemicarcerand as an environmental pollutant remover, molecule reactor, molecule reservoir, and molecule information reservoir by applying guest selectivity and carcerand isomerism. CONSTITUTION: A hemicarcerand compound has a structure represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R and R' are independently selected from a group consisting of a linear or branched (C1-C20) alkyl group, a linear or branched (C1-C20) alkoxy group, a linear or branched (C1-C20) an alkoxy (C1-C5) alkyl group, an (C6-C12) aryl (C1-C20) alkyl group, an (C1-C12) alkylthio (C1-C20) alkyl group, an (C6-C12) arylthio (C1-C20) alkyl group, an (C6-C12) aryl group, a hydroxyl (C1-C20) alkyl group, a carboxyl group, a carboxy (C1-C20) alkyl group, an amino (C1-C20) alkyl group, and a mercapto (C1-C20) alkyl group; and X is selected from a group consisting of hydrogen, a linear or branched (C1-C7) alkyl group, a hydroxyl (C1-C20) alkyl group and a carboxy (C1-C20) alkyl group.
