The structure has a housing (16) whose upper part is covered by a closing element (22). The housing and the closing element are conformed to retain a suspension shock-absorber of a motor vehicle and to permit functioning of the shock-absorber. The housing includes distinct positioning units (24a, 24b) i.e. embossed zones, for positioning and maintaining the closing element with respect to the housing along two distinct positions. The positioning units extend along a transverse direction of the vehicle.
