A holding device is disclosed for fixing a protective cage to the shaft of the outboard motor of a boat, comprising a ring element (5) that can be arranged around the shaft (1) of the outboard motor and detachably fixed thereto by at least one closure, and that features in its cross section the shape of a U profile the opening of which in the horizontal direction faces the center of the ring element (5), and at least one projecting part that is directed radially outwards on the upper edge of the protective cage (13) and can be inserted into the opening of the U profile of the ring element (5). The holding device makes it possible to attach and remove the protective cage quickly and easily. |
