<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device used in an electronic system photo-frame, the display device having reduced power consumption and improved crime prevention performance. <P>SOLUTION: When a moving body approaching the display device is detected by a sensor means, a light emission quantity adjusting means increases a quantity of light emitted by a display means. When the separation of a moving body is detected by the sensor means, the light emission quantity adjusting means decreases a quantity of light emitted by the display means. In addition, if a moving body is detected by the sensor means, a time is obtained using a time measuring means, and then a judgment is made as to whether the obtained time is the same as a display prohibition time received in advance by the time receiving means. When the time is the same as that, alarming information indicating the detection of the moving body is transmitted to a specify communication device by using a communication means.
