<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of obtaining a fuel cell in which the contraction of an electrolyte membrane at a low temperature and ice crystal growth in a membrane-electrode assembly are suppressed, and which is superior in low-temperature durability. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system is equipped with a fuel cell single cell equipped with a pair of electrodes and an electrolyte membrane arranged between the electrodes, a temperature detecting means to detect the temperature of the fuel cell single cell, and a fastening means to exert a fastening load to apply face pressure to a lamination face of the fuel battery cell. In the case that the temperature of the fuel cell single cell detected by the temperature detecting means is within a range of a prescribed temperature or lower, the system is equipped with a control means to control the fastening means so as to increase the fastening load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
