<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber mixture containing carbon black with less PAH (polyaromatic hydrocarbons) and having good characteristics and improved dispersion characteristics for rubber application, compared to a standard carbon black with undecreased PAH content; and use thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber mixture includes at least one kind of rubber and at least one kind of carbon black with less PAH, wherein the carbon black with less PAH has: (A) an iodine number of 17-75 mg/g; (B) STSA surface area of 17-64 m<SP>2</SP>/g; (C) a ratio of the iodine number to the STSA surface area of >1.06 mg/m<SP>2</SP>; (D) OAN number of 60-160 mL/100g; (E) COAN number of 40-110 mL/100g; (F) a mode greater than 100 nm; and (G) a benzo(a)pyrene content of <2 ppm.
