PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin depositing and dispensing machine for improving operating efficiency in recovery from a failure generated during depositing operation. SOLUTION: In the coin depositing and dispensing machine, a depositing part 12 that receives coins, an identification part 13 for identifying coins input to the depositing part 12, a temporary storage part 14 for temporarily storing the coins identified by the identification part 13, a return part 15 for returning the coins temporarily stored in the temporary storage part 14, and a dispensing part 17 for dispensing the coins delivered from a storage part 16 are arranged altogether in a prestage-block A1. The storage part 16 for storing the coins temporarily stored in the temporary storage part 14, and for delivering the stored coins is arranged in a poststage-block A2 connected to the prestage-block A1 in a horizontal direction.
