PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and filtration apparatus in which paste is filtered continuously with no air bubbles mixed in, considering drawbacks of the prior art. SOLUTION: The method of filtering paste P1 uses: a cylinder 1 in a perpendicular direction for storing the paste P1; a filter 2 fixed in the lower part of the cylinder 1; and a sucking device 13 comprising a vacuum container 7 and a vacuum pump 8 for sucking the paste P1 in the cylinder 1. In this method, an exposed part on the surface of the filter 2 caused by progress of uneven filtration on the filter 2 is covered with the paste P1 remaining in other parts on the filter 2. Contact between the surface of the paste P1 and the atmosphere is avoided by avoiding reduction in the sucking force of the sucking device 13 or by covering the surface of the paste P1 on the filter 2, so that volatilization of a volatile solvent in the paste P1 and drying of the paste P1 being filtered are prevented. Thus, increase in viscosity of the paste P1 and deterioration of fluidity are prevented to avoid lowering of a filtering speed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
