PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent other vehicles which are incapable of inter-vehicle communication existing around a vehicle from influencing the safety of coordinate running control. SOLUTION: Other vehicles incapable of vehicle-to-vehicle communication which influence the content of coordinate running control are detected, and the content of coordinate running control is changed. During tracking control, while maintaining a predetermined tracking distance to the preceding vehicle by inter-vehicle communication, the tracking distance to the preceding vehicle is set long.
