The device is assembled of a handle (4) and a rubber lip (7) joined to a holding system comprising a sponge (5) and a receptacle (8) for water dripping from the lip (7) during the process of window cleaning. The receptacle (8) is provided with an absorptive cloth (11) accommodated at the bottom and a swivel mounted locking element (9) at the top which facilitates the water either to be guided into the cloth (11) for being removed or to remain in the upper area of the receptacle (8) in order to be reused. A flap (10) integrated in the rear (3) of the receptacle (8) is moved towards the cloth (11) by pressing the handle (4) in order to remove excess water.
