<p>The method involves drilling the bottom of a cask or a barrel to be treated. Internal cleaning of the cask or the barrel is carried out by injection of water having a temperature of 40 to 90 degree Celsius and a high or medium pressure of 50 to 170 bars, using a water-jet pipe with a bent angle of 45 to 90 degree. The internal cleaning of the cask or the barrel is completed by germicidal ultrasonic or UV-C rays. The cask or the barrel is rinsed and drained. Sulfur dioxide blanketing of the cask or the barrel is carried out. The cask or the barrel is closed in a watertight manner.</p>
