MAGNETIC MEDIUM AND MAGNETIC RECORDING/REPRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to stably record and reproduce information.

SOLUTION: A magnetic medium related to one embodiment includes: a first magnetic layer; a second magnetic layer; and a non-magnetic layer. The first magnetic layer is formed of a first magnetic material and records information in response to a direction of magnetization. The second magnetic layer is formed of a second magnetic material of which magnetic anisotropy is different from that of the first magnetic material. The non-magnetic layer is laminated between the first magnetic layer and the second magnetic layer and is formed of a non-magnetic material. The magnetization of the first magnetic layer and the magnetization of the second magnetic layer are antiparallel-coupled to each other by means of exchange action of magnetism via the non-magnetic layer, and the antiparallel-coupling thereof indicates that each magnetization is oriented to opposite directions and is coupled to each other.
