<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a rotor stopping position with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: In detecting a rotor stopping position of a brushless motor, position signal generation means generates signals for commanding a plurality of predetermined energization patterns of electric currents running through coils of a plurality of phases. A counter starts counting-up by outputting signals for commanding the plurality of energization patterns. Energization by a first one of the plurality of energization patterns is commanded and, when the time required for a regenerative current running through the coil to become zero elapses after an electric current running through the coil is turned off, a signal for commanding energization by a subsequent second energization pattern is output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
