PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesia monolithic refractory improving slaking resistance of magnesia while improving corrosion resistance by increasing the addition amount of magnesia, and excellent in strength.SOLUTION: A magnesia monolithic refractor contains 3 to 10 wt.% of an alumina powder, 2 to 8 wt.% of a titania powder, 2 to 8 wt.% of a zirconia powder or 3 to 10 wt.% of a zircon powder, 0.5 to 5 wt.% of a barium titanate powder and 0.5 to 3 wt.% of a phosphate glass powder, has the balance of a magnesia raw material, and is produced by adding the magnesia raw material to water, mixing, molding, drying and then burning it. |
