<p>A method and apparatus for displaying a contact list. In the method, a server obtains a communication record of a client and each of contacts, sorts the contacts to obtain an order of the contacts according to the obtained communication record, generates a contact list of the client according to the order of the contacts, and transmits the contact list to the client, so that the client displays the contact list. Thus, it is ensured that a contact frequently contacting the client can be located on the top of the contact list, so that a process of searching out a contact in the contact list can be accelerated for the user, and communication efficiency of the communication application is enhanced.</p> |
