The present invention addresses the problem of providing: an organic-resin-coated metal sheet for beverages and foods which has resistance to blushing by retorting and has canmaking properties; a process for producing the metal sheet; a metallic can obtained by processing the organic-resin-coated metal sheet; and a can lid. The organic-resin-coated metal sheet comprises a metal sheet and an unstretched film superposed on at least one surface thereof, and is characterized in that the unstretched film comprises a polyester resin composition obtained by blending a copolyester (I) comprising a poly(ethylene terephthalate) resin as the main component with 20-45 wt% crystalline polyester (II) comprising a poly(butylene terephthalate) resin as the main component.
