<p>PURPOSE: An active accelerating pedal device is provided to enhance fuel efficiency by making a driver accurately recognize an accelerating situation by simultaneously applying vibration or increasing the reaction force of an accelerating pedal. CONSTITUTION: An active accelerating pedal device comprises an accelerating pedal, a spring(6), a first actuator and a second actuator. The accelerating pedal comprises pedal arms(1b,2b), which are rotatably installed in a housing(2). The spring supplies reaction force to the pedal arms to control the foot effort of the accelerating pedal. The first actuator controls the length of the spring. The second actuator repetitively strikes the accelerating pedal and generates vibration. The first actuator comprises a motor(5). A lead screw, which moves back or forth according to rotation, is connected to the motor. The lead screw is installed to be protruded through the pedal arms.</p> |
