PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identification device capable of performing a process in an identification stage by using hardware of a simple configuration.SOLUTION: Provided is an identification device for identifying input data configured from a plurality of input digital values, the identification device comprising a plurality of cascaded arithmetic layers, each having a plurality of arithmetic devices. In the initial-stage arithmetic layer, a digital value is generated from a plurality of input digital values and a weighting coefficient, and in the second and subsequent-stage arithmetic layers, a new digital value is generated from the plurality of digital values generated in the pre-stage arithmetic layer and a weighting coefficient, and a digital value generated by the last-stage arithmetic layer indicating the result of identification. At least one of the arithmetic devices is a plurality of cascaded digital time conversion circuits, each of which causes a time signal to be delayed by a time corresponding to the inputted digital value and the weighting coefficient, and generates a digital signal by comparing a time signal outputted from the last-stage digital time conversion circuit and a prescribed time threshold signal. |
