<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field wiring diagnostic system which offers an improved limit on wiring distance to a field device having inrush current characteristics, and prevents false detection due to inrush current variations caused by external factors. <P>SOLUTION: A field wiring diagnostic system includes a short circuit diagnosis section for diagnosing short circuit anomalies of wiring to a field device which operates on a power supply voltage fed via switch means operated by a digital output module. The short circuit diagnosis section includes pulse outputting means for turning the switch means on for a predetermined period while in a diagnostic mode, short circuit detection value generating means for generating a short circuit detection value from an input of a value of read current flowing through the field device while the switch means is turned on, and short circuit diagnosis means for receiving input of the read current value and the short circuit detection value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
