<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: Not to cause the generation of an exhaust gas containing a combustible component such as tar and water to allow the tar to adhere to the inner wall of a flue and to the filter cloth of a filter bag apparatus to bring about its functional reduction when the exhaust gas is discharged after the chloride formation and the carbonization treatment by heating a harmful component-containing substance to be treated and a treating agent in a heat treatment oven. SOLUTION: The plant for treating waste products, etc., comprises a decomposition reaction step for heating a substance to be treated and a treating agent in a heat treatment oven to decompose and separate a harmful component from the substance to be treated and at the same time rendering an exhaust gas and the substance to be treated harmless by the formation of harmless chlorides by subjecting the added treating agent and the harmful component to contact reaction; a volume reduction step for obtaining a volume-reduced residue by heating the substance to be treated which has been rendered harmless in the decomposition reaction step in a heating oven; and, as the basic means, the exhaust gases evolved in the decomposition reaction step and the volume reduction step being introduced into an exhaust gas combustion apparatus 41 by respective conduits 40a and 40b and being burned.</p> |
