PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably convey a conveyed article by preventing wear of a surface of a conveying belt and wear of a skirt and by preventing falling and scattering of the conveyed article.SOLUTION: A skirt structure 3 of a belt conveyor 100 comprises: a pair of skirt plate parts 6 that are arranged at both width-direction side portions of a conveyance belt 1 while leaving a space between a conveyance surface 11 and the skirt plate parts 6; and a pair of elastic skirt parts 7 that are mounted on the outsides of the skirt plate parts 6 and provided in contact with the conveyance surface 11. The elastic skirt parts 7 are formed with members having flexibility and have shapes in which thick-wall parts 72 larger in plate thickness than thin-plate parts 71 are provided on lower ends of the thin plate parts 71. The elastic skirt parts 7 are arranged in a state where: the lower ends thereof are directed toward outside in a width direction of the conveyance belt 1; the thick wall parts 72 come in contact with the conveyance surface 11 under their own weight, at both width-direction side portions of the conveyance belt 1; and the thin plate parts 71 are curved and bent to a such degree that the thick wall parts 72 can be pressed against the conveyance surface 11. |
