This organic EL display device is provided with: a substrate (5); a positive electrode (10) (a first electrode); an organic layer (8) that contains a light emitting layer (13); a negative electrode (9) (a second electrode); a reflective layer and a semi-transmissive/reflective layer that are arranged so as to sandwich the organic layer (8); and a plurality of sub-pixels with different colors, where light having a specific wavelength is intensified and emitted by having the light emitted from the organic layer (8) repeatedly reflected between the reflective layer and the semi-transmissive/reflective layer. The substrate (5) is folded or curved, and the optical path length between the reflective layer (6) and the negative electrode (9) (the semi-transmissive/reflective layer) in a sub-pixel with a specific color in a flat region (3E) (a first region) is different from the optical path length between the reflective layer (6) and the negative electrode (9) (the semi-transmissive/reflective layer) in a sub-pixel with the same specific color in a folded region (3F) (a second region).
