The present invention relates to a device to remove foreign materials on a wire surface and, more specifically, relates to a device to remove foreign materials on a wire surface which quickly and efficiently removes a foreign material (a lubricant, an impurity, etc) remaining on a wire by using the lubricant during a secondary process (a drawing process) to draw an iron wire or a steel wire of a target cross sectional shape and dimension. According to the present invention, the device to remove foreign materials on a wire surface comprises: a powered body to receive power from an additional drive motor to rotate, guiding transport of a wire moving along a longitudinal direction; a pair of wire brushes link-mounted on one side of the powered body to simultaneously rotate about the wire and the axis thereof to remove foreign materials attached to a surface of the wire; a power transfer unit link-mounted between the powered body and the wire brushes to transfer a rotational power received from the powered body to the wire brushes; a balance maintaining unit link-mounted on the power transfer unit and the wire brushes to maintain a pressing pressure of the wire brushes pressed on the surface of the wire in response to a difference in centrifugal force according to a change of rotational speed of the powered body; and a stand to support a device structure wherein the powered body, the wire brushes, the power transfer unit, and the balance maintaining unit are link-assembled on each other into a single assembly. |
