PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the downtime of printing.SOLUTION: A sheet feeding switching determination part 130 determines that sheets in a sheet feeding cassette run out if a detection result by a sheet detection sensor 105 changes from the presence of sheets to the absence of sheets when the sheet conveyance is sensed by sensors 109a-109c during printing, and notifies a system control part 133 that switching to another sheet feeding cassette is possible. Moreover, the sheet feeding switching determination part 130 determines that the sheet feeding cassette is open if the detection result by the sheet detection sensor 105 changes from the presence of sheets to the absence of sheets when the sheet conveyance is not sensed by the sensors 109a-109c during printing, and notifies the system control part 133 that switching to another sheet feeding cassette is impossible.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
